Moving Women
A critical overview of international and regional normative standards and frameworks in trafficking of women in Bangladesh, India and Nepal

This study was concluded in early 2011, even though it was published later in 2012. Since the conclusion of the study certain developments took place which were not updated in the first edition of the study. The important and most immediate one being that India has ratified the UNTOC and all its protocols in May 2011. Nepal has ratified the main convention in Dec 2011, but not the trafficking Protocol. Bangladesh has acceeded to the convention in July 2011 but not the protocol.

This information, along with other updates will be included in the second edition of the study, which also include Sri Lanka, and it will be available soon. (Please contact SAWF directly for further information)"
